Description
The Channel Manager is SiteMinder’s primary software and the driver for most sales and growth. The calendar is the main interface hoteliers interact with and use daily to manage their room availability distribution network.
The challenge was to design an easy-to-use and logical interface that provides actionable information required to mitigate over-bookings and to shift availability from one channel to another. Rates can also be adjusted on the fly.
The Channel Manager logical interface as been prasied by it ease of use and high-speed performance a testimante for a strong design and engineering collaboration.

Process
This is a classic project that as been done ‘on-the-feat’. The double diamond design process worked here pretty well with quick definition, research and mostly concepts and iterations. Gut feeling and becoming an SME helped me scope, design and iterate concepts pretty quickly. Being a crucial part of the business ecosystem we observed user interaction and gathered feedback directly from customer support and our VIP team and were able to make adjustment in a very short development cycle.
Outcome
A Channel Management interface that is quick, easy to understand (reduce on-boarding and support costs and time), easy to update and change based on feedback and new features, scalable and adaptable.
